Home Fire Escape Plan
More than 4,000 Americans die each year in fires, and as many as 20,000 are injured. Many fire-related tragedies are avoidable if aware of preventative measures. Volusia County Fire Rescue and the U.S. Fire Administration offer lifesaving tips that could make a big difference for you and your community. The 2022 Fire Prevention message is for all citizens to create an home escape plan for in case of an emergency. Every second counts: plan two ways out! FEMA and the U.S. National Fire Administration created a helpful infographic available in a PDF dowload (EN, ES).

Wildfire Hazard Assessment Guide
The Volusia County Wildland/Urban Interface Wildfire Hazard Assessment Guide was created by the Nature Conservancy and the Volusia County Fire Chiefs Association. This guide can be used to assess and rate the interface/intermix hazards in your area.
