Volusia County Citizens Academy 2009

Day 3: The
He©rt of County Government
8 a.m.- 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009

Community Services is called the "Heart of County Government" because so much of what it does is focused on improving the quality of life for our citizens. Day 3 will offer an in-depth look at the customer-focused services and information this department provides, from transportation and libraries to agricultural programs and affordable housing.

Community Services includes several divisions, and you will learn about all of them in this session except for Parks, Recreation and Culture. The Parks presentation will be a part of Day 6, "Our Playground" on Sept. 29.
