Mission:  To improve the quality of life for eligible Volusia County residents through temporary emergency assistance and supportive services.

Overview: Human Services provides temporary emergency assistance and supportive services to eligible residents of Volusia County. The Family Self-Sufficiency Program will provide eligible individuals with educational and training opportunities to empower them to become economically self-sufficient. Applicants must be interviewed by a case worker to determine eligibility for services. Eligibility for assistance through Human Services is based on grant and county requirements that include proof of residency and total household income.
