Mission: To provide a safe and reliable water supply to our customers and to collect, treat and dispose of wastewater in an environmentally acceptable way; to protect and promote conservation of our water resources for both current and future users while planning for a new development.

Volusia County Utilities rate increase

Organization
Volusia County's Water Resources and Utilities Division is composed of:

  • Division Administration, which oversees the division
  • Operations Administration, which supports field activities including 15 wastewater and 12 water treatment facilities
  • Billing, which provides customer and billing service to our 14,500 utility customers
  • Engineering, which conducts development reviews, designs and reviews service enhancements, and oversees plant expansions
  • Operations-Water/Wastewater Collection and Distribution, which maintains the county's treatment systems and 850 miles of utility pipeline
  • Grove operations, which supplies maintenance and labor for the county's 200-plus acre citrus grove
