Mission: To provide a safe and reliable water supply to our customers and
to collect, treat and dispose of wastewater in an environmentally
acceptable way; to protect and promote conservation of our water
resources for both current and future users while planning for a new
development.
Organization
Volusia County's Water Resources and Utilities Division is composed of:
- Division Administration, which
oversees the division
- Operations
Administration, which supports field activities including 15 wastewater and 12 water treatment facilities
- Billing, which provides customer and
billing service to our 14,500 utility customers
- Engineering, which conducts
development reviews, designs and reviews service enhancements, and
oversees plant expansions
- Operations-Water/Wastewater Collection and Distribution,
which maintains the county's treatment systems and 850 miles of
utility pipeline
- Grove operations, which supplies
maintenance and labor for the county's 200-plus acre citrus grove
