What is not allowed in your recycling nin?

• Garbage and other non-recyclable waste such as gas cylinders, tanks, rocks, dirt, building debris, remodeling debris, flammables

• Yard waste

• Batteries  - alkaline batteries, rechargeable batteries, dry cell batteries, lead acid batteries

• Certain glass products -any heat resistant glass, crystal, window or auto glass, light bulbs, mirrors, glass cookware or bakeware, ceramics

• Plastic bags

• Styrofoam

• Home  chemicals -- paints, pesticides, spa or pool chemicals, paint thinners

• Medical waste, needles and pharmaceuticals

• Bio-hazardous waste of any kind

• Diapers

• Electronic waste and accessories- PCs, monitors, televisions, printer cartridges, keyboards, cell phones, CDs and DVDs

• Scrap metal - including car parts and machinery parts

• Other non-recyclables - Coat hangers, small appliances, silverware, pots and pans

• Bullets or shotgun shells - live or spent
