How to ride
How to use new fare
cards
The new Votran fare media is
similar to credit card – it is a magnetic swipe card. The passes must be
inserted into the card reader on the bus to be verified the first time you
use it. On future boardings, passes may be swiped through the card swiper on
the top of the farebox. The card reader will quickly scan and verify that
the pass is valid.
The clock starts running on all passes the first time you insert them into
the card reader. On the back of each pass, the exact date and time of
expiration will be printed, so riders know to the minute exactly when their
pass expires.
When attempting to use any discounted pass, riders must remember to have
proper identification verifying that they are authorized to use that
discounted pass.

Stroller
guideline policy
For the safety of children, other passengers, and our operators, the
following is Votran’s guidelines for strollers on buses.
- Children should be removed and
held safely in the arms of the parent or guardian and the stroller must
be foldable / collapsed before entering the bus.
- While on board the bus, the
stroller must remain folded and clear of the aisle.
- When exiting the bus, the child
must be held by the parent or guardian and the stroller must remain
folded until completely off and clear of the bus.
Adhering to these guidelines will
help ensure a safer bus ride for everyone. Remember: Safety First!
Signal your stop in advance When you get within a block of your destination, signal the driver to stop
by pushing the yellow strip next to the window or by pulling the cord.
Gather your belongings and move to the rear of the bus to exit. Wait until
the green light above the door signals you to push the vertical bars. Once
you exit, quickly move away from the bus. Never attempt to reboard a bus
