FREE GUIDED WALK AT LYONIA PRESERVE FOR CHILDREN

Parents are invited to bring their children to a free guided walk at Lyonia Preserve from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 25.

The half-mile loop at Lyonia Preserve is a great trail to walk with small children, according to Bonnie Cary, coordinator for the outing.

“Parents will be able to leave their strollers behind and let their children explore at an unhurried pace,” said Cary. “This walk is especially geared for children ages 2 - 7 and their parents.”

The walk begins at the Lyonia Preserve, behind the Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave. Participants need comfortable hiking or walking shoes, and should bring water.

Space for this walk is limited and registration is encouraged. For more information or to register, please call (386) 736-5276 or contact Jenny Nelms, with Land Acquisition and Management, at lminterns@co.volusia.fl.us.
