HOUSING FAIR SET FOR MAY 3

Local homebuyers and renters can learn about affordable housing opportunities and fair housing rights during a free housing fair from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Sunshine Park Mall, 2400 S. Ridgewood Ave., South Daytona.

Participants will include governmental and nonprofit providers, real estate companies and financial institutions. They will have information about the federal Fair Housing Act, which prevents discrimination in the sale, rental and financing of dwellings. Housing information will be available in English and Spanish.

The fairs are sponsored by Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division and the Mid-Florida Housing Partnership.
