Osteen. The public needs to be aware there may be a smoke hazard for

Buckskin Lane.
According to Howard Bailey, Volusia
County Fire Services Division Chief, Volusia County firefighters using a
brush truck and two tankers, and assisted by two engines and a brush
truck from the Deltona Fire Department and two tractors from the Florida
Division of Forestry, worked to contain the brush fire that consumed
approximately four acres. In addition, Air One from the Volusia County
Sheriff’s Office assisted with aerial visuals of the fire.
According to the Florida Division of
Forestry, the fire was an unauthorized controlled burn that got out of
hand from the residents.
At one point, a nearby barn caught fire.
However, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and the
structure suffered minimal damage, Bailey said.

reported.
At this time, all active flames have been
extinguished. However, firefighters warn that it will most likely create
additional smoke throughout the night.
According to Bailey, firefighters will
condition to monitor the area throughout the night. There were no
injuries reported.
