Teens can watch movies, swap CDs, and howl at the moon at the Volusia County Library Center - City Island in November.

Young adult movies, appropriate for ages 13 - 19, will be shown at 2 p.m. every Saturday. Participants may bring their own snacks and drinks.

Teens can swap used books, CDs and DVDs with each other at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11. Set-up begins at 2:30 p.m., and refreshments will be served. Books should be for middle and high school readers; CDs must not have a parental advisory or explicit lyrics; and DVDs must be rated G, PG or PG-13.

Youths, ages 11 - 19, can learn about werewolves during “Howling at the moon” from 3 - 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25. Attendees will discuss “New Moon” and “Blood and Chocolate,” test their knowledge of werewolf trivia, and sink their teeth into Moon Pies and other treats.
