Volusia County’s Library Advisory Board will have a special meeting
at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at the Volusia County Library Center - City
Island, downtown Daytona Beach.
Members will discuss the three-year budget forecast for the library
system and staff recommendations for cost reductions. The advisory board
is seeking citizen input and then will make recommendations on the
staff’s proposals. The Volusia County Council will hear the cost
reduction recommendations at its Dec. 10 meeting in DeLand.
The advisory board makes recommendations to the County Council,
county manager and library services director on matters relating to the
development and improvement of Volusia County’s public libraries,
services and programs.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Florida
