Volusia County to apply for EPA
clean-up grants; public hearing set
for Sept. 28
Volusia County airport staff will
conduct a public hearing at noon Monday, Sept. 28, regarding the
county’s intention to apply for funding assistance under the
Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA)’s Brownfields and Land
Revitalization Act. The hearing will be in the training room of the
Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.
The county plans to apply for three
grants to assist with environmental remediation of three parcels at
Daytona Beach International Airport (DBIA).
Drafts of the proposed applications are
available for public inspection in the DBIA administrative offices, 700
Catalina Drive, Daytona Beach, beginning Friday, Sept. 25.
All interested persons will be given an
opportunity to comment on the proposed applications during the hearing.
