DEPUTIES CHARGE DEBARY MAN WITH TWO PHARMACY ROBBERIES

Anthony Baiardo, age 42, who was arrested Thursday night and charged by the DeLand Police Department with robbing a pharmacy in DeLand, also is a suspect in two additional pharmacy robberies being investigated by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Those robberies occurred on June 15 at a Walgreens in DeBary and on July 7 at Saxon Medical Pharmacy near Orange City.

Late Friday afternoon, Sheriff’s investigator Charles Lee charged Baiardo in both robberies. The criminal charges are as follows:

Walgreens robbery
-armed robbery
-grand theft
-trafficking in Oxycodone

 Saxon Medical Pharmacy robbery
-armed robbery
-kidnapping
-grand theft
-trafficking in Oxycodone 

Baiardo remains in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail in Daytona Beach. Links to previous news releases on these two robberies are as follows:
