The Volusia County Council has approved the development of 13.4 acres
on the southeast side of the airfield at Daytona Beach International
Airport. The development plan submitted by Jet Park Daytona LLC proposes
the construction of 108,000 square feet of aviation space capable of
supporting aviation and aeronautical businesses and leased space for jet
and turbine powered general aviation aircraft.
According to Robert Nass and Jerry Coone, Jet Park Daytona’s
principal developers, the capital investment in new facilities is
estimated at more than $5 million. Construction is expected to begin by
the end of the year.
