County Council approves further planning for airport technology park

Work continues to progress with the planning, design, and permitting of a 95-acre technology park at Daytona Beach International Airport. Last week the County Council approved additional measures concerning the overall land use plan for county-owned property between the south side of Daytona Beach International Airport and Beville Road.

When completed, the airport technology park will provide approved development opportunities for up to 296,000 square feet of large-scale office space and for up to 312,000 square feet of new manufacturing space. County economic development officials estimate that development of the technology park will provide employment for up to 2,000 jobs.
