Chinese Fan Palm is a graceful palm that requires little or no pruning and survives mild frosts.

Leaves
long, tapered, ribbon-like segments that gracefully hang down and give a graceful, fountain appearance. The petioles are armed with sharp spines.

Flowers
Six foot, white long flower clusters emerge in spring but are hidden within the crown

Fruit
Oval, round, blue-black seeds are ½ inch in length, but are not visible due to location in the crown.

Trunk
Gray,green bark. Branches that don’t break easily.
