The Paurotis Palm is also known as the Everglades Palm as it forms a large clump as it grows.

Leaves
Two to three foot wide fronds are green on top and silver-gray beneath and set on orange, armed petioles.

Flowers
Small, white flowers are clumped on 4ft. long infloresences

Fruit
½ inch in length, round fruit change from green to orange to black when ripe.

Several to many thin, but upright trunks
