8:30 a.m.: Program overview/ground rules
9 a.m.: Icebreakers, Karen Poulsen, Library Services
9:30 a.m.: 15 minute break
9:45 a.m.: "Where It All Began....The History of Local Government," by Charlene Weaver, Deputy County Manager and Chief Financial Officer
10:45 a.m.: 15 minute break
11 a.m.: Community Information presentation by Shelley
Szafraniec and Michelle Coats
12 noon: Lunch (1 hour)
1 p.m.: "Unweaving the Property Tax Web," by Morgan Gilreath, Property Appraiser
3 p.m.: Adjourn

Don't start the day with a parking ticket!

 Please be sure to park in one of the eight hour parking lots in the vicinity. These include:

* The Historic Courthouse parking lot at Indiana Avenue and Florida Avenue;

* The parking lot on South Florida Avenue near the intersection of New York Avenue (State Road 44) across from DeLand City Hall

* The County parking lot on West Rich Avenue just west of its intersection with Florida Avenue (on the north side of the Athens Theater)

* The parking lot on East Rich Avenue across from Tom’s Pizza between TCK Administration Center and the Volusia County Courthouse on Alabama Avenue.
