Mission: The purpose of the Community Assistance Division is to improve the quality of life for Volusia County citizens.

Community Assistance is composed of four service activities:

	Housing Down payment assistance and housing rehabilitation programs.
	Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) Rental Assistance Program
	Human Services Dental referrals, emergency services, Health Care Responsibility Act Program, indigent burial, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program and Summer Food Services Program.
	Grants Administration Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG) HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), State Housing Initiatives Program (SHIP), Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance (JAG) Grant, and the Children and Family Advisory Board (CFAB).
