The Citizens Academy Graduates of Volusia County (CAG, Inc.) Habitat for Humanity House

The Citizens Academy Graduates of Volusia County (CAG, Inc.) joined together to build a Habitat for Humanity House in the DeLand area. The construction effort honored the memory of Roy Weaver, a Citizens Academy graduate killed in a racing accident at the Daytona International Speedway and provided a home for a deserving Volusia family.

Among the fundraising activities was a barbecue hosted by then County Council Chair Dwight Lewis and his wife, Lisa, which raised $22,000!
