SAFETY ADVICE –
USF’s Safety Florida works
confidentially and free-of-charge with small businesses to help them
comply with OSHA rules. The group’s role is to provide consultation;
Safety Florida does not enforce OSHA rules. As a result, companies get
safer workplaces and, theoretically, lower workers' compensation
premiums. Companies also can qualify for the OSHA Safety and Health
Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP), which will exempt them from
OSHA inspections for several years. More information is online at
www.usfsafetyflorida.com.
