Supervisor of Elections Ann McFall would like to notify all
voters that the Voter Identification Card is now called a Voter
Information Card, and is no longer a required form of
identification to be used on Election Day.
"Since the Voter Information Card is no longer an ID card, it
cannot satisfy any of the requirements for picture and signature
identification needed when voting." states McFall. "However, a
voter can use two different forms of identification to satisfy
the picture and signature ID requirement." The most widely used
IDs is either a Florida Drivers License or a state-issued
identification card.
The voter information card still holds valuable information
such as a voter’s 9-digit registration number and precinct and
district information. Voters will notice the card no longer
contains a space for a signature.
