POST-ELECTION CERTIFICATION VOTING SYSTEM AUDIT

The Volusia County Canvassing Board will meet on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. to certify the final results of the August 26, 2008 Primary Election. In addition, the canvassing board will begin the process of the post-election certification voting system audit per Florida Statute 101.491, including the random selection of the race and precincts to be audited. The audit process will not start before 2:00 p.m. The auditing process will continue on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. If the audit is not complete by the end of the day on Thursday, it will continue beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008. The meeting will take place at the Department of Elections, Historic Courthouse, 125 W. New York Avenue, Deland in the second floor conference room.
