HOURS ON
REGISTRATION DEADLINE OCTOBER 6, 2008
Volusia’s Supervisor of Elections Ann McFall asks voters to note the
upcoming voter registration deadline for the General Election. To
give ample opportunity to those wanting to register in time to meet
that deadline, her office which is located at 125 W. New York Avenue
in DeLand will be open until 8:00 p.m on Monday, October 6, 2008. By
Florida law, a person must be registered at least 29 days prior to
an election in order to vote in that election.
Registration applications are available at all Volusia County
libraries and can be dropped off at any of the library locations by
October 6, 2008 to meet the voter registration deadline. Please
check with your nearest library for local hours of operation.
Applications are also available at city halls, post offices,
chambers of commerce, driver license bureaus, agencies that provide
public assistance, offices that serve persons with disabilities and
centers for independent living, locations where hunting, fishing or
trapping licenses or permits are sold and many Volusia County
Government offices including the Supervisor of Elections office.

of Elections website.
