Supervisor of Elections Ann McFall asks voters to note the
upcoming voter registration deadline for the October 9, 2007
Municipal Primary/General Elections.
By Florida law, a person must be registered at least 29 days
prior to an election, in order to be eligible to vote in that
election. For persons who are not already registered to vote in
Volusia County, the deadline to register is September 10, 2007
in order to vote in the October 9, 2007 election.
Registration applications are available at all Volusia County
libraries, city halls, post offices, chambers of commerce,
driver license bureaus, agencies that provide public assistance,
offices that serve persons with disabilities and centers for
independent living, locations where hunting, fishing or trapping
licenses or permits are sold and many Volusia County Government
offices including the Supervisor of Elections office.
Registration applications can also be downloaded from the
Department of Elections website at
www.volusia.org/elections/reginfo.htm.
