Scholarship Foundation

The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections’ Scholarship
Foundation was formed for the purpose of providing scholarships to deserving
students to assist in furthering their college education in the field of
political science/public administration or journalism/mass communications.
Funds are derived from gifts and contributions from the Florida State
Association of Supervisors of Elections and contributions from the general
public.
Applicants for scholarships are required to be full time students in a
college or university in the State of Florida. The following scholarships
(named after recently deceased supervisors of elections) are awarded each
year in June:
The Joe Oldmixon Scholarship
$1,200
The Jimmy Whitehouse Scholarship $1,200
The Dorothy Walker
Ruggles Scholarship $1,200
Students interested in applying for a FSASE scholarship should send their
application to the Supervisor of Elections office in the county they are
registered to vote. Please see attached Guidelines
for the FSASE Scholarship for more information about the
requirements and when to apply.
