Volunteer Appreciation Day

On October 11^th, 2008, Volusia County Environmental Management honored their valuable volunteers with an Appreciation Day Celebration at the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach. The celebration included a free ecology boat tour, a wellness drum circle, raffle prizes and a complimentary lunch for all of the volunteers in attendance. Volusia County’s volunteers serve a vital role in County sponsored projects. Without the efforts of our volunteers many of our goals would be unattainable. Volusia County Environmental Management offers a wide variety of programs where volunteers can help to protect all of Volusia County’s natural resources.

Many volunteers were able to attend and for those who were unable this year, we hope to see you at next year’s event.

Volusia County Environmental Management would like to thank all of our volunteers for a year of hard work and many dedicated hours given to our programs. “Job well done”.
