Non Single-Family Residence/Commercial
(Anything other than single family residence falls into this category)

Unincorporated Volusia County
Commercial boat facilities including dry storage, trailer parking, and boat slips must be reviewed and approved by Volusia County Land Development, Building Department, and Environmental Management (EM).  For new facilities that require site plan or subdivision review, Environmental Management will review and assess the manatee mitigation. Payment of the mitigation fee must be made prior to issuance of the Development Order.

Incorporated/Cities
A building permit is required from the appropriate city for the structure and must be obtained prior to beginning of construction.   In addition, the applicant must submit the following to Volusia County Environmental Management: 

1.  Volusia County Manatee Mitigation Fee Checklist 
2.
  A letter from the city agreeing to release the slips from   their slip pool
3.
  A site plan of the facility with numbered slips, dry storage or trailer parking spaces
4. 
A check for $1000 per slip/space made out to the County of Volusia
