The Waterwise Landscape Irrigation Ordinance became effective July 1, 2004. The ordinance is currently under review and slated to be amended in 2007. Click here for a draft copy of the Water Wise Ordinance.
The Department of Health enforces the ordinance. They, along with Volusia County Environmental Management Division, the Volusia County Chapter of the Florida Irrigation Society, the Volusia Homebuilders Association, and the Water Authority of Volusia have all had input regarding revision of the ordinance.
