MANDATORY EVACUATION TO BE LIFTED IN
HUNTER'S RIDGE
Volusia County fire officials have announced that the
mandatory evacuation of the Hunters Ridge sub-division in Ormond Beach will be
lifted at 4:00PM this afternoon, Sunday, July 5.
Citizens will be allowed to re-enter the area at that point,
but ONLY after attending one of two mandatory briefings with officials.
Residents must possess positive identification for re-entry. The briefings will be held at
4:00 and 6:00 at the Riverbend Community Church, 2080 Granada in Ormond Beach.
Also, it has been announced that all Volusia County Courts will be opened as
scheduled on Monday, July 6. Flagler County Courts are closed at least through Monday.
Beginning Monday, four area banks will serve as collection points for supply
donations to assist firefighters. They are SunTrust, South Trust, First Union and
Nations/Barnett. The collection sites will be open during normal banking hours, Monday
through Friday. Area radio stations will announce items that are needed.
