Lieutenant Candidates Get Their Day In Court
Lieutenant candidates participating in the Lieutenant Officer Development School received their day in court as they prepared reports for an incident during the first week of class. Attorney Jason Brown scrutinized the reports and County Court Judge David Beck presided during a mock trial. This gave the candidates an opportunity to take the witness stand to offer testimony supporting their written incident reports. The afternoon session provided plenty of opportunities for everyone to learn about typical court proceedings, testimony, and tips on writing reports that would accurately represent incidents.
