Brush Fire in Port Orange
On May 1, 2009, a 60-acre brush fire drew a response from Engine 12, Brush 12, Tender 11, the Fire Walker Team, Department of Forestry and Port Orange Fire/Rescue. The Logistics Team kept those responding hydrated in the hot, dry weather by setting up a rehabilitation area for the firefighters.
