Man Entrapped in Accident on I-4
On October 12, a driver traveling on Interstate 4, near the Daytona Beach rest area, lost control of his vehicle hitting a semi tractor parked on the side of the road. The vehicle slammed into the tractor trailer, entrapping the driver. Interstate 4 was shut down for a period of time so that Air One could land on the highway. The patient was transported via Air One to Halifax Hospital. Engines 15 and 17, Squads 12 and 35, Battalion 10 and Division 12 responded to the scene.
