Extrication After MVA Involving Tractor Trailer

The driver of the automobile struck the tractor trailer at a high rate of speed embedding the auto into the rear framework of the trailer and pinning the victim beneath the dashboard. A tow truck was used to extract the automobile from the trailer to allow for effective extrication of the victim. VCFS Squads 35, 46, Battalions 30, 40, Division 10, DeLand Engine 82, Air One and two EVAC units responded to the scene.


Advanced life support (ALS) patient care being administered while the operational objectives are identified after initial attempts to free the auto failed.
 


After the auto has been untangled from the trailer and extrication of the victim is concluding. The entire extrication operation lasted 40 minutes.
