School Bus Involved in Accident
On March 2, 2006, a motor vehicle accident involving four vehicles took place on Kepler Road in DeLand. One vehicle rear ended two other vehicles in the northbound lane sending one vehicle into an oncoming school bus. Nine people were injured with one patient transported to the hospital via Sheriff's Office Air1 helicopter and four patients transported by ground to the hospital. Units on scene included: Engine 42, Training 10, Battalion 40, Fire Police, DeLand Fire and Rescue, Sheriff's Office, EVAC and FHP.
