Spotted Seatrout
Cynoscion nebulosus

Spotted seatrout is an important recreational and commercial species that is widely distributed (mid-Atlantic through Gulf of Mexico). Spotted seatrout spawn in estuarine waters during spring and summer (Muller et al., 1996). Juvenile spotted seatrout (<100 mm standard length) were found in our collections beginning in May.
