On November 7, 2000, Volusia
County residents approved two funding initiatives created to advance
our quality of life, Volusia Forever and Volusia ECHO.
In 2005, the Volusia ECHO Advisory Board reviewed 14 applications
for the Grants-in-Aid awards.
The following ECHO projects
were recommended by the ECHO Advisory Board for grant awards and
were approved by the County Council March 10, 2005.

*** ECHO Grant 04-21 awarded to the Pioneer Settlement for the
Creative Arts in the amount of $90,720.00 was returned by the grantee
and re-allocated by the County Council, March 10, 2005 to DBCC 05-07
to cover the balance needed for the $600,000 2005 exceptional award.
The balance of $9, 280.00 was allocated from the ECHO reserve account.
