Abstract: Enterprise Zones. An enterprise zone comprises an area identified by local elected and economic development officials and designated by the state. Under the program, certain types of businesses locating to, or expanding in a designated zone may claim tax credits provided in the law. The Governor's Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development (OTTED) administers the program and Enterprise Florida helps market it to businesses. The Florida Department of Revenue processes completed and approved tax incentive applications and provide technical assistance relating to eligibility requirements.
