Housing Finance Authority of Volusia County (“HFAVC”)
PURPOSE
To alleviate a shortage of affordable residential housing facilities and to provide capital for investment in such facilities for low, moderate or middle income families.
AUTHORIZING STATUTES AND SPECIAL DISTRICT CHARTER
Part IV, Chapter 159, Florida Statutes, authorizes the creation of Housing Finance Authorities within the State of Florida. On July 30, 1981 the Volusia County Council adopted Ordinance No. 81-15 to create the Authority and Resolution No. 81-67 to authorize the Authority to act. DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES AND SERVICE AREA
HFAVC operates in Volusia County and in other locations in the State of Florida by interlocal agreement approved by the Volusia County Council.
