Comprehensive Plan Amendment Cycle 11-1

Volusia County has begun processing the 11-1 Large Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment Cycle. A description of each of the amendments included in the cycle and a calendar of public meetings are provided below.   • CPA 11-1-1: Lake George In-holding. A future land use map amendment to change the future land use designation on approximately 52.66 acres from Forestry Resource to Conservation.
  • CPA 11-1-2: Green Springs Park. A future land use map amendment to change the future land use designation on approximately 34.15 acres from Low Impact Urban and Environmental Systems Corridor to Conservation
  • CPA 11-1-3: Beresford Addition. A future land use map amendment to change the future land use designation on approximately 6.73 acres from Rural to Conservation
  • CPA 11-1-4: Kagels Property. A future land use map amendment to change the future land use designation on approximately 2.60 acres from Environmental Systems Corridor to Conservation
  • CPA 11-1-5: Blanchette Property. A future land use map amendment to change the future land use designation on approximately 7.12 acres from Impact Urban and Environmental Systems Corridor to Conservation
  • CPA 11-1-6: Deep Creek Preserve. A future land use map amendment to change the future land use designation on approximately 4806 acres from Forestry Resource, Rural, Agricultural Resource and Environmental Systems Corridor to Conservation
  • CPA 11-1-7: Recognition of Digital Format for Updates of the Official Future Land Use Map. A text amendment to recognize the County’s GIS-based computerized mapping as the official Future Land Use map
  • CPA 11-1-8: Historic District Map Series Update.

  • CPA 11-1-9: Transportation Maps Update. A map amendment of figure 2-3, Volusia County Roadway Number of Lanes 2025 Map.
  • CPA 11-1-10: School Attendance Zones. The annual update to the School Concurrency Service Area maps based on School Board changes to the attendance boundaries.
  • CPA 11-1-11: Local and District Park Definition. A text amendment to Chapter 13- Recreation and Open Space Element to revise the definitions for local and district parks.
  • CPA 11-1-12: Osteen Local Plan. A text amendment to eliminate the agribusiness language from the Rural Estate designation, and deleting the PUD requirement, policy OST 1.1.2, because the draft land development regulations will implement the local plan requirements.
