There are changes to primary care health providers in west Volusia County. You may need to transfer your medical records and choose a new doctor.

The Volusia County Health Department will end pediatric and adult primary care health services at its Orange City clinic June 30 and its Deltona clinic Sept. 30. As a result, you will need to choose a new primary care doctor. Until then, your medical records will be secured by the Volusia County Health Department. Once you have chosen a new doctor, you are asked to contact the health department’s medical records office at (386) 822-6215 ext. 6123 so a copy of your medical records can be forwarded to the new doctor. Please choose a doctor by June 30 (DeLand patients) and Sept. 30 (Deltona patients).

The West Volusia Hospital Authority has contracted with Northeast Florida Health Services (NFHS) to offer primary care services to eligible clinic card patients residing in west Volusia County. NFHS will offer health care from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday at:

  • Pierson Medical Center, 114 N. Volusia Ave. (open)

  • DeLand Medical Center, 844 W. Plymouth Ave. (open April 1)

  • Deltona Medical Center, location to be announced (open Oct.1)

You may call (386) 738-2422 to make an appointment. Northeast Florida Health Services accepts all patients – Medicaid, Clinic Cards, private pay and most insurance. You may also choose another health care provider.

The Volusia County Health Department will continue to offer women’s health services at its DeLand Women’s Health Clinic, 933 N. Spring Garden Ave., DeLand. In addition, the Volusia County Health Department will continue to offer the following public health services at its Deltona and Orange City clinics, Monday - Friday:

  • Immunizations

  • Communicable disease control

  • Sexually transmitted diseases testing and treatment

  • HIV/AIDS

  • Tuberculosis testing and treatment

  • Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program
