County Libraries branch into eBooks
The Volusia County Public Library has added 6,800 books to
its collection. Instead of stopping at the reference desk, library users looking for the
new titles will head to the computers.
The County's library system has joined netLibrary,
the leading resource for online books.
eBooks are. . .
Electronic duplicates of published books that can be read, searched, borrowed and returned
over the Internet.
Checkout period
eBooks may be checked out for a 24-hour period and read from any computer with internet
access and a web browser. The books are automatically checked back in after 24 hours.
Cost
The service is free to any Volusia County resident, and is provided by the state of
Florida
How to begin
You need to set up a netLibrary account to begin checking out eBooks from the library,
home, work, or wherever you have a computer. To set up an account in Volusia County, visit
