Located in the heart of the Daytona Beach resort area, and only 400 feet from the Atlantic Ocean, the Ocean Center is the area's convention, entertainment and sports complex. To support tourism -- the county’s largest economic sector -- the Volusia County Council, the cities and many others have made a $76 million investment to expand and renovate the Ocean Center, and made significant public investments in the Daytona Beach International Airport, the area’s beaches and parks, rivers and other cultural and historical facilities and venues.
