Volusia Magazine

The busy Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner and that means thousands of people will flock to the beach for fun in the sun. Volusia County’s Beach Patrol will be out in full force staffing the lifeguard towers and doing everything they can to keep beachgoers safe. If you’re going to the beach there are some common sense things you should do to keep you and your loved ones safe.

This week, Volusia Magazine, the county’s weekly public information television program, looks at beach safety for the holiday weekend. The in-depth interview guest is Beach Patrol Captain Tammy Marris. The 30-minute program also includes county news of the week, community interest features, and the latest actions of the Volusia County Council.

Volusia Magazine airs Sunday (May 20) at 5 p.m. and repeats Monday (May 21) at 7:30 p.m. on WDSC-TV15. To watch channel 15, turn your television to UHF channel 15 or consult your cable television listings. All cable television stations in Volusia County carry WDSC TV-15.
