Volusia County parks
Volusia County is blessed with some of the
most beautiful parks in the Southeastern United States. Visitors of all ages can find
leisure or recreational activities to suit their interests and lifestyle, such as sporting
events, camping, fishing, historic and archaeological sites.
The County's most popular parks include scenic
Spruce Creek Park in Port Orange, which offers camping, nature trails and a children's
playground. Lake Monroe and Ed Stone parks in West Volusia County provide boat access to
the St. Johns River, where you and your family can fish for bass and glimpse bald eagles,
alligators, osprey and otters in the wild. Southeast Volusia boasts historic River Breeze
Park, once the site of a Colonial-era plantation. River Breeze also features boat ramps
offering access to the Indian River, a fishing pier and a playground area. The 210-acre
Gemini Springs Park in DeBary, has an active spring bubbling up 6.5 million gallons of
sparkling fresh water every day.
