Volunteers Needed For Flu Shots

August 28, 2009 Bunnell Fl. -- The Flagler County Health Department is planning an H1N1 mass vaccination campaign this fall.

The size and scope of the program is larger than any vaccination effort ever attempted in Flagler County. The Health Department is seeking volunteers to help in this community wide effort. The Health Department is specifically looking for vaccinators. The people who are qualified to vaccinate are: RN's, LPN's, paramedics, ARNP's, PA's, pharmacists and retired RN's or LPN's. All of the potential volunteers must have an active Florida license.

If you are interested in volunteering please call 386-437-7350 x2231 or 2226 or e-mail Patrick_Johnson@doh.state.fl.us or Bonnie_Welter@doh.state.fl.us

A vaccination volunteer training will be held at the Flagler County Health Department on a date and time in late September to be determined before the vaccination program begins. The Health Department anticipates giving H1N1 vaccines by mid-October.
