Flagler Volunteers
Needed For H1N1 Vaccination Clinics
Bunnell Fl. - If you missed the first training session, Flagler County still
needs volunteers without medical expertise to assist in what is being billed
as the largest medical event of its kind in the county.
Flagler County Health Department and the Flagler County Emergency Services
are working together on plans for a large vaccination campaign here for the
H1N1 Flu. The operation will process and vaccinate thousands of residents
against the H1N1 Flu.
The vaccinations are expected to begin in mid October. According to Health
officials the effort will be the largest of its kind ever done in Flagler
County. Emergency Services is seeking volunteers to assist in the community
wide effort.
A second volunteer meeting will be at the Emergency Operations Center 1769
East Moody Blvd. (S.R.100) 3 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 7. At the meeting
assignments and work schedules will be made for the series of vaccination
clinics. Volunteers do not need special medical qualifications to assist in
the effort. Medically certified volunteers have already been recruited to
administer the vaccinations. Volunteers who attended the first training
session do not need to attend.
