Who we are

As an important division of the County of Volusia, Airport & Port Services team, the Ponce de Leon Inlet & Port District continues to progressively broaden its influential Coastal Zone Management role in East Volusia County.

Mission: To manage the Ponce de Leon Inlet and Port District, a dependent taxing district in East Volusia County, and to:

  • Provide for the health and safety of citizens by managing the inlet, promoting access to and utilization of the navigable waterways of the district for water-dependent recreational and commercial facilities
  • To encourage and assist in marine-related economic development and redevelopment
  • To provide for the needs of recreational and commercial boaters, fishermen and divers
  • And to maintain or improve the quality of life within district.
