Garbage Collection
Residents who live in the unincorporated area of Volusia County are provided waste services through Volusia County's Solid Waste Division. Residents are charged for service by an annual $190 non-ad-valorem assessment per residential unit. Read more

Recycling

Volusia County Tag and Tax Offices process all automobile, truck, boat and mobile home registrations and title transfers in the County of Volusia as an agent for the State of Florida. Read more
Landfill and Transfer Station
The Tomoka Landfill, just west of Daytona Beach, is the county's only permitted landfill. It receives solid waste generated in Volusia County. This 3,400-acre landfill area has a life expectancy to 2052. About 200 acres of this land have been earmarked for recycling efforts. Read more
