List of Exemptions from Fictitious Name
Every business must register their name with the State of Florida Division of Fictitious Names unless they meet one of the following exemptions:
- Using full legal name (first and last) in the business name.
- Corporation, Limited Liability Company, or Partnership filed and in good standing with the Division of Corporations.
- Registered or licensed with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulations.
- Registered or licensed with the Florida Department of Health.
- Licensed Attorney forming a business for the practice of law.
